Responsibilities
The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA) will:Examine, obtain medical history, and treat acute and chronic illnessesOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic testsCreate treatment plans, and involve patients and family members in those plansInitiate appropriate specialty referralsCollaborate on improvement in care delivery and service with management, other physicians and staffWork with practice management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirementsQualifications
Graduation from accredited APRN or PA programValid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or ability to obtainValid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate2+ years of related experienceStrong medical skills and knowledgeProficiency with computer platforms and applicationsAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skills
