Working in the physician practice or outpatient clinic setting, this role performs a range of tasks in support of clinical operations.Responsibilities:
Prepares and performs radiological (X-ray) imaging in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.Reads and comprehends imaging order, engaging with physician when order is unclear, complex or warrants deeper review. Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters using knowledge of human anatomy.Interviews patients to understand risk factors that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety.Uploads imaging results into Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Records information into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.Facilitates office visits and gathers patient information as needed.Performs a range of clinical tasks to support a cross-functional clinical team that may include Medical Assistants, Paramedics, and RNs. Example tasks assigned as trained in advance include phlebotomy and lab tests.Other information:Required:
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological ScienceRegistration as Radiological Technologist from American Registry Of Radiologic TechnologistsGood understanding of human anatomy - can be established through education or experienceExperience reading and interpreting radiology orders
Preferred:Experience using point-of-care-testing platformsExperience working with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)Experience working in a clinical practiceCurrent Medical Assistant certificationExperience working with EPICJob Details
