Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High school graduate or GED equivalent with average reading, writing and oral communications skillsWorking knowledge of direct patient careBasic knowledge of Unit Secretary functions
Successful completion of one of the following:Nursing Assistant ProgramMedical Assistant ProgramEquivalent work history in a patient care environmentRotation with total patient care at Nursing SchoolEMT Training
Licensure/Registration/Certification:BLS - American Heart AssociationDesired QualificationsWorking knowledge of Unit Secretary functionsDesired licensure, Registration, CertificationCertified Nursing Assistant or Registered MedicalAssistantResponsibilities:Performs as a Unit Secretary at least 50% of the time and functions as a Nursing Assistant as assigned. Performs clerical and reception duties to maintain efficient operation of the department. Assists in the continuity of patient care delivery within an assigned area by providing direct personal care, rehabilitative measures, and supportive services.
