Moffatt & Nichol is actively looking for a Transportation Design Build Manager to join our Southern California Transportation Team. This role will lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and design-build of complex transportation infrastructure projects in the Southern California region, and work with office across the country on specific design build pursuits. This role will be responsible for the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, including highway, roadway, bridge, and rail.

Duties and responsibilities: Build and manage key client relationships and acts as the primary company contact on each project Lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers to successfully deliver project plans, specifications, reports, and other design related materials Interact with our contractor clients, teaming partners, and owners to ensure design deliverables are aligned with construction schedules and expectations Guide subconsultants or teaming partners in project approach, processes, and design Build on established relationships with construction contractors Requires excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills Requires ability to interface with clients as firm representative Up to Travel 50% Other duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Required Master's degree in Civil, Transportation or related business degree; preferred Professional Engineer license (PE) in CA; Required 20+ years of experience leading the civil design for major highway/interstate projects, or transit projects, including leading design-build projects; Required Well established in Southern California with transportation infrastructure owners and clients, contractors, teaming design partners; Required All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Base salary range: $180,000 to $218,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market. Physical requirements: Sit for long periods of time, interact with clients, and occasional travel.
