This is an exciting opportunity to work on an enterprise-level application as part of a collaborative team.We are seeking a Front-End Web engineer responsible for creating interactive designs that enhance a customer's experience with a brand and facilitate an enjoyable experience using various forms of digital and web media. The candidate would be responsible for working with project managers and designers to build custom websites. This includes implementing HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (working inside of the Angular framework), as well as assisting in QA testing and the actual deployments of websites.What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web services.Implement intuitive front-end user experiences.Partner with business analysts and user interface development teams to help define product requirements and prototype design solutions.Developing personas and usage scenarios.Develop standard UI components and style guides for portfolio-wide use.Ensure an accurate translation of your designs to the final product.Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, and screen flows.Consulting with clients to understand their goals and explaining design decisions.Analyzing user feedback and activity and iterating to enhance the user experience.Designing aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts allowing for interface edits as needed.Conducting usability testing.Be a champion for the user to make their product experience simple and enjoyable.Work with QA Engineers to create and implement automated tests.Address and improve any technical issues.Work with Architects and Engineers in a supportive environment, where mentoring will be provided and are expected to mentor other developers.Perform peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability, and the use of best practices.Maintain thorough and well-written documentation at a high project level, as well as at the coding level.Think creatively and apply software principles in designing, implementing, testing, and integrating new and updated components.Employ industry proven design principles, open-source tools, and engineering experience to deliver and integrate tools and capabilities for a broad set of users and communities.Compose solutions that incorporate microservices, containerization, and RESTful Web components – leveraging DevOps pipelines to drive rapid delivery.What You Will Need

U.S. Citizen.Must be able to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance which is equivalent to a Public Trust level clearance.5+ years of professional experience prototyping and designing client-side applications for mobile and web.2+ years experience using UI technologies (Angular) and system integration.In-depth understanding of web standards & markup including HTML5 & CSS3, asynchronous request handling, modern security standards, responsive design, etc.Must understand JavaScript, TypeScript and web application design patterns.Direct working experience with front-end component frameworks particularly Angular, AngularJS, and others.Proficient in creation of custom reusable components.Strong interaction design and user interface design portfolio Understanding of cross browser/device testing.Solid experience in using complex REST API from client-side.Experience developing accessible websites (Section 508, W3C WAI Guidelines, etc.).Comfort with an iterative design process based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.Expert knowledge of UI design principles and techniques.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present work to executives and large groups.What Would Be Nice To Have

Experience working directly with DHS and/or TSA.Bachelor’s degree or higher in a design-related field (human-computer interaction, interaction design, human factors, or graphic design) or equivalent practical experience.Proven experience mentoring or managing other UI designers. Design Thinking a plus.Exposure to Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline for cloud including Jenkins, Docker etc. would be a solid plus.The annual salary range for this position is $160,400.00-$240,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.What We Offer
