Brief Overview Of Position
Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Financial Analyst position to support a DHS client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. This person will serve as a backup to the Project Manager (PM). The ideal applicant is versatile, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. You must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers.
Description Of Duties
Plans, supports and provides advisor/contributions in complex and critical efforts which include specific functional, technical, professional or policy areas of the project. Key responsibilities include: Investigating or identifying business, scientific, technology, engineering, operational, professional and/or policy issues; conducting analysis of these issues; and providing advice in support of major programs/projects.Budget/Contract Management is responsible for funds control, funds certification of commitments and obligations, processing of Intra Governmental Payment and Collection (IPACs) and commercial invoices, accounting, of capital assets, reimbursable program financial management and the generation of internal and external financial reports.Analyst will provide the following support to the Acquisitions Branch:
Evaluate, document, and improve current business processes and reportingRemediate weaknesses in the processes, data and reporting in the current financial management systemsAccept and establish reimbursable agreements and accountsConduct on-going reviews of reimbursable accountsReconcile reimbursable accounts with trading partnersResolve financial discrepancies with trading partnersClose out reimbursable accountsDevelop reimbursable budget authority estimatesMaintain reimbursable accounting standard operating proceduresDevelop formulation documentationDevelop formulation replies to OfficeDevelop CBJB documentation and maintain CBJB/IPBS filesEducation, Experience, And Security Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferredTop Secret Clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a DHS SuitabilityAt least 6 years of experience; 4-5 years as a financial analystExceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative teamAbility to lead a collaborative team in completing projectsExcellent analytical, organizational, and time management skillsWritten and verbal communication skills, to include presentation development for senior ranking Government officials
