An Artificial Intelligence/National Defensestart-up is searching forData Scientists to join their team. You would be solving complex problems by being a systems-level thinker, all the while transforming the nation’s defense and national security. Thisteam handles abstract problems regarding the public policy surrounding climate change, energy, and national security, among other pressing issues.
Some of your responsibilities would include discovering datasets that could help in solution development; curating data, analyzing, and performing quantitative modeling; validating thequality of data, models, and results; deploying and implementing solutions in collaboration with product team; and interacting with the product team on current and upcoming user requirements.Required Skills & Experience
Masters or Ph.D. in Sciences, Mathematics or Engineering, especially numerical methods and simulationsAt least 4 years of professional experience in a Data Scientist positionPython (pandas, numpy, scipy, sci-kit learn, etc)SQL / MySQLCloud computing, preferably in an AWS environmentLarge-scale data processing and implementing batch processing pipelines in HPC or cloud architectureActive government clearance (secret, top secret, ts/sci)
