Are you excited about Data analytics, Cloud technologies, and debugging complex issues in the Cloud and in customer Server environments? Do you want to work in a fast-paced environment adopting best-of-breed industry technologies to run a SaaS service while making On-Premise customers successful? You will be responsible for working with our USCA Support Teams and our global Engineering teams to resolve the most complex customer issues - by troubleshooting product logs, and system/network traces, as well as down to the source code; and analyzing performance issues both at a system and database level.You will work within our Development org as the advocate for the customer - identifying and helping to eliminate customer pain points in our products.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Triage, replicate and resolve production issues that involve troubleshooting complex technical problems, working closely with our software development teams from various product components to deliver successful customer outcomes.Communicate clear technical action plans to Support/customers. Document bug descriptions for development to an accurate level of detail.Write and maintain code/scripts that will increase our ability to find solutions quickly, reduce the time needed to investigate customer issues and automate administrative tasks.Customer First and Engineering Mindset - You understand that our customer’s success is our success by providing creative workarounds and solutions. You work past the initial fix to help feature teams understand the customer pain point(s) and uncover trends that lead to the customer impact. You promote operational excellence!Automation. You leverage automation, monitoring, and data analysis to improve troubleshooting and analysis of customer issues.An Expert & Mentor. Go deep and become a subject matter expert, be “constantly curious” and share knowledge freely to mentor service owners and team members. Guide more junior SET/System Engineers.On-call rotation. Successful candidates will be part of an on-call rotation serviced by SET Engineers covering the USCA region.Knowledge And Skill Requirements

Core Competencies / Required Experience

Experience troubleshooting data connectivity and performance issues in the Cloud using AWS or equivalent (Azure, Google Cloud, SF Data Cloud, Snowflake) and On-prem (Postgres SQL, Oracle, EDW).Experience Windows operating system at a deep level with exposure to systems administration at an enterprise scale (Authentication, Server Virtualization, Clustering, Storage (SAN), etc.). Experience with Linux OS is a benefit.Solid understanding of networking/internet protocols (routing, proxy, TCP/IP, http, TLS)Experience with troubleshooting tools such as: Wireshark, Fiddler, process monitors, etc.Problem-Solver. You love tackling the most difficult of challenges. You have excellent troubleshooting skills and a demonstrated ability to solve large complex client-server issues, by logically breaking things down into manageable components.Communication. You have experience working as part of a global team, communicating clearly on highly technical issues with developers, and with all levels in Engineering, Support, as well as the customer.Advantageous Competencies Or Bonus Experience

Experience with Containers/Docker/KubernetesExperience with Bash, Python, Ruby, Java, C#, C++ or other scripting or programming languages is an advantage. B.E. / B.Tech. / BCS/ BA degree preferred or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in System administration of large enterprise environments and troubleshooting complex issues in Windows, Linux or SaaS server environments.Additional Responsibilities

Data Rockstar. Deep analytics product knowledge and query language skills; ability to gain such knowledge quickly, at a level that empowers engineers, to drive discussions with engineering teams not just on customer-related issues but on how the product can be supported or enhanced.Builder. Prior professional experience debugging and developing in SQL, NoSQL, Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, C++, and/or C# is an advantage. More importantly, candidates with an ability to find solutions that are not traditionally solved using standard troubleshooting means will do well in this role.Highly Technical. You understand networking technology and how servers and networks inter-relate at a deep “Administrative” level. You regularly take part in deep-dive troubleshooting exercises and conduct technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.Recruitment.
