We are seeking an experienced mortgage loan originator with strong marketing, communication, and analysis skills to join our team and assist loan applicants in securing the ideal mortgage for their new home purchase. The ability to effectively deliver financial product information to clients while maintaining high service standards is key. Responsibilities: • Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine which is best for them • Manage a large pipeline of loans to ensure your production meets our requirements • Interact with customers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction • Work closely with borrowers, loan officers, title companies/attorneys, or insurance companies to gather and prepare all documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements • Monitor the mortgage process to ensure all company and regulatory processes are adhered to • Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, bank officers, builders, and the community at large in order to retain existing and attract new business • Attend networking events and strategically cultivate a pipeline of leads and referral sources • Diligently pursue leads provided to you with contact via telephone, email, and/or in-person meetings • Schedule and attend appointments with prospective borrowers to deliver loan proposals and presentations you have prepared for them • Evaluate the credit and financial status of prospective borrowers to determine appropriate residential loan options • Maintain in-depth knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines • Research competing products and trends Qualifications: • 3-5 years of real estate, mortgage origination, or lending experience required • Requires compliance with lending regulations and bank underwriting guidelines and lending policies • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb interpersonal and customer service skills, and exceptional decision-making ability • Understand a variety of loans such as: FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed/ adjustable, bridge, non-conforming, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit • Office Suite knowledge and loan originating software such as Calyx, Experian, or LendingWise preferred • Ability to thrive in a commission-based sales role • Requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and motivation to achieve goals • Bachelor's degree preferred • Must have an active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License or the ability to obtain MLO status with NMLS and applicable state licenses Compensation: $25,000 - $75,000+
