Firm Description:

Founded in 2002, SCS Financial is a well-established and growing investment and wealth management firm serving ultra-high net worth families, family offices, and institutional investors. SCS employs just over 130 employees and is headquartered in Boston, with offices in New York City, Providence, and Los Angeles. We manage ~$30 billion in assets across public, alternative, and private market opportunities globally. SCS’ business model is client-aligned and we aspire to redefine wealth management by delivering holistic client & asset management services built on a foundation of trust and exceeding expectations across generations. Our firm prides itself on our team-based approach, excellent investment performance, a powerful technology platform, and a culture of collaboration and camaraderie.

Role & Responsibilities:

SCS manages over $10 billion through pooled multi-manager vehicles. Many clients choose to invest in these vehicles to access an actively managed portfolio with top managers, often with preferred terms due to scale, and that produces a single K-1 vs. one for each underlying manager. Our pooled investment vehicles, stratified by asset class, are fully discretionary portfolios administered by a third party and audited annually. Select private vehicles are offered to external investors (non-SCS wealth clients) as a fund investment.

We are seeking to add a Vice President to the Alternative Investment Services team (AIS), a current team of 6 responsible for portfolio accounting, financial reporting including oversight of audits and K-1s, cash & credit facility management, and capital activity processing. The Vice President will work closely with internal stakeholders including research analysts and client advisors as well as external partners (e.g., fund administrator, tax partners and auditors) on the support and execution of fund management. The position is a highly visible leadership position and therefore requires the ideal candidate to be a great communicator, detail and process oriented, hard-working, enthusiastic, curious, and display a positive leadership energy.
