Join Fresenius Kabi as Senior Marketing Manager and play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of the US Clinical Nutrition business. This position is a pivotal role within marketing to focus on commercial readiness for new product launches.Responsibilities include maximizing revenue and gross profit for products in the IV Therapy Pharmaceutical NAM division by providing market analysis, branding influence, and strategic planning within this portfolio. This position requires active collaboration with multiple Fresenius Kabi business functions both inside and outside of the market unit (MU), including product development, regulatory, project management, manufacturing, supply chain, business analytics, customer service, sales, and national accounts.The candidate must be able to work independently, lead and manage others, have the ability to prioritize issues, deal with ambiguity and manage conflicting deadlines. The candidate must be proficient at managing multiple and diverse responsibilities simultaneously, as well as have the ability to take on high level business initiatives as they arise. Preference will be given to candidates that hold an effective understanding of the parenteral nutrition or enteral nutrition market and have experience with FDA-regulated products in the pharmaceutical market to help influence product design and sales performance.This position is a hybrid role. Candidates will have the choice of working at our corporate headquarters in Lake Zurich, IL. or our satellite office in Chicago, IL.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and master an understanding of Clinical Nutrition including current and future market trends, products, and competitors.Actively contribute and execute business plan to drive strategic initiatives for the Clinical Nutrition Business.Work with sales to support Nutrition through all market channels.Support the creation of best-in-class HCP campaigns that are insight-driven and translate science into relevant and compelling communications and programs.Work effectively across functions to develop and deliver Marketing materials and Sales toolkits that drive strong execution.Leverage digital platforms to effectively engage and complement/extend reach across target healthcare audiences.Work with the sales team, articulate and drive strong ongoing branding for Fresenius Kabi Nutrition US MU.Actively champion products throughout entire lifecycle (feasibility, development, commercialization, and post-commercialization) to ensure customer requirements are met, target sales and gross profit are achieved.Maintain an understanding of pipeline products and their characteristics and requirements, such as patent/legal complexities, competitive landscape, manufacturing challenges, pricing/market dynamics and barriers to entry.Create go-to-market strategies for new product launches and line extensions. Lead the commercial launch execution including the development of brand positioning, pricing strategy, and product forecasting. Support Sales and National Accounts via training and tools.Conduct ongoing review of the market landscape in order to assess and make recommendations of future product needs to help achieve business goals. Define market research needs and work with the research team and/or outside agency partners to design research studies that inform customer requirements and product development.Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasting goals between the Market Unit (MU) and the Production Unit (PU) and between Commercial Business Units. Work with internal/external manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure accurate and timely forecasting for new and existing products. Includes monthly analysis of key variances and market drivers to help improve forecast accuracy.Actively work with business analytics team in regular forecasting cycles to derive market and product assumptions. Develop a thorough understanding of key product performance metrics including sales variances and contract compliance opportunities.Develop and execute pricing strategies/recommendations to maximize portfolio sales and gross profit. Serve as a resource and partner in the various sales channels such as specialty distributors, wholesalers, and group purchasing organizations. Work with national accounts, trade relations, business analytics, and contract marketing.Work in collaboration with Business Unit (BU) Nutrition Team and Business Development to make go/no go recommendations on new pipeline candidates as well as assess the market potential for creative line extensions that augment our competitive advantage.Contribute to Market Unit (MU) and Business Unit (BU) in the annual strategic plan process by assessing the competitive landscape, channel opportunities, and platform initiatives.Identify and resolve emerging issues that may impact project, department or corporate goals. Recognize potential threats to success and elevate issues to senior management. Propose solutions, resolve conflicts within cross functional teams when possible and make recommendations for process improvements.Work with HCPs and key accounts to define customer requirements, build adoption and loyalty to the Nutrition portfolio.Support Nutrition marketing and IV Therapy teams and BU on special requests.Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.RequirementsBA or BS required; a graduate degree is preferred.8+ years of related experience in the healthcare industry required. Experience in parenteral or enteral nutrition is a plus.A minimum of 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas required: marketing, sales, contract marketing, business development, project or portfolio management.Demonstrated leadership skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.Ability to tell the story of our brands and business, comfortable presenting to senior leadership.Effective communication (verbal and written) accompanied with solid presentation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, willingness to be a team player in varied capacities and ability to manage cross-functional teams.Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.Aptitude to drive results in a matrix organization and influence others who you do not have direct authority over.Strong achievement orientation with creative problem solving and innovative mindset.Able to manage multiple complex projects with solid time management skills.Capacity to make key-decisions with limited manager oversight.Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Domestic and international travel required.Additional InformationWe offer an excellent salary and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, disability, 401K with company match, and wellness program.Fresenius Kabi is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
