We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems such as databases, cloud, or operating systems.Analyze and modify existing software as well as design, construct, and test end-user applications that meet user needs.Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional.Conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.
Qualifications:
8+ years of Java software development experience.Coding skills in XML, Junit, and testing frameworks (like Mockito, Jmock, etc), and Groovy are highly desirable.Experience with Linux (or any UNIX for that matter)Experience with Big Data technologies using Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, MR, Spark, Sqoop, Kafka Streaming etc.)Experience with Cloud based technologies including, but not limited to, AWS and Snowflake.Experience in Microservice Architecture is desired.Strong desire to innovate and develop new technology.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to implement industry standard programming techniques by Mastering advanced fundamental software development concepts, practices, and procedures, and having the ability to analyze and solve problems in existing systems.Must have the ability to concentrate on a strictly technical focus, project management or a combination of the two depending on interests and project load of the work unit.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
