The UMKC SOM accepts students directly out of high school for a six-year combined baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine program. The UMKC SOM Graduate Medical Education program supports over 30 residencies and fellowships.

Job Description
University Health Physicians and University Health is currently seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join our medical staff in providing psychiatric services in a medical inpatient hospital setting.
This position will work as leader of a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatry residents, medical students and medical social workers. Other duties will include: providing coverage at either of our two adult inpatient psychiatric hospitals and lead a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatry residents, medical students, psychologists, nurses, recreational therapists and medical social workers. Participation in hospital-based committees and providing lectures to other medical specialties is encouraged.
The qualified candidate will have graduated from an accredited medical school, completing a residency in psychiatry (experience in psychosomatic medicine preferred, but not required)
