Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician to join our outpatient clinic in Honolulu, HI. The Family Medicine Physician will play a key role in providing primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no nights, call, or weekends, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease management, in an outpatient setting.Conduct thorough medical assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluation, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures as needed to address patients' healthcare needs.Educate patients and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies to optimize health and wellness.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.Maintain professional licensure and board certification, staying abreast of current guidelines, standards of care, and best practices in family medicine.Requirements:
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required.Current licensure as a physician in the state of Hawaii.Previous experience in outpatient primary care is preferred but not required.Strong clinical skills and proficiency in primary care practice, including acute and chronic disease management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients and families.Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.Willingness to work a Monday to Friday schedule, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with no nights, call, or weekends.
