The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as an
Aquatics Training Program Director
for our Association.The Program Director will interact with employees, management, members, and other business associates in an outgoing, courteous manner while performing various administrative, support, and specialty duties related to the efficient operation of contract and future YMCA pools.Duties include, but are not limited to:Manages, directs and supervises aquatics activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectivesRecruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as neededMonitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulationsConducts and ensures proper maintenance of poolsSecures and schedules pool facilitiesMaintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenanceConducts lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainingsCreates and schedules swim classes, water fitness classes, and swim team practices and meetsAssists in the marketing and distribution of program informationDevelops, manages and controls department budgets to meet fiscal objectivesSkills/ Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
preferredMust possess a valid Texas Driver's License and valid insuranceAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or YMCA Lifeguard Instructor certifications
requiredAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer or YMCA Lifeguard Trainer
requiredWater Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor
