A construction and development firm in Florida is seeking an experienced Accountant from the construction industry to join their growing team as the new Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will:Learn and help with the month-end close processAssist with the preparation of monthly financial statementsConstruction project setup and maintenance of all jobs with cost codes in accounting systemAcquire any missing owner change order documentation from Project teamsCheck and balance owner billings for accuracy prior to postingData entry into Software to reflect owner Change Order in Microsoft Access and CMiC validationReconciliation of change orders; executed vs. postedPrepare Work in Progress (WIP) reporting. Requires an understanding of percent completion revenue recognitionAccounts Receivable and cash activity postingsQualifications:
3+ years of relevant work experience in construction or related industryBachelors in Accounting requiredConstruction accounting experience including job costing, WHIP reports, Cash Receipts, and BillingAbility to function in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and accounting softwareDesired Skills:
CMIC software experience
