At FF, were creating something new, something connected, and something with a true global impact.**Your Role:**As the Transportation Specialist, youll be working with some of the industrys brightest minds to drive scalable processes, focus on continuous improvement and help lead implementation of logistics tools used for forecasting, analysis, execution, and visibility. Basically, youll ensure the logistics department operates efficiently via tasks set forth by the Department Manager.**Responsibilities:*** Assist with RFQ, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding activities* Responsible for managing freight costs including cost impacts of on-going market conditions* Prepare and present department matrix and other presentations* Prepare/write and maintain reports, proposals, and project documentation* Facilitating business requirements between Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales & Service teams**Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelors Degree* Minimum of 5 years experience in Logistics/Transportation support* Must be familiar with various modes of transportation including Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Air and Sea* Experience with freight arrangement for inbound and outbound transportations activities for domestic and international freight movements* Experience with RFQ, contract negotiations and supplier onboarding activity* Experience with writing reports, proposals, and project documentation* Ability to communicate logistic concepts to non-logistic audiences and work collaboratively in cross functional teams* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP* Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for logistics* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required* Experience in key trade lanes (China /APAC US, EU-US and NAFTA)**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience in a startup environment and Fortune 500 company* Familiar with route planning direct with suppliers as well as analyzing and implementing third part consolidation centers* In-depth understanding of freight forwarding, small parcel, TL/LTL, intermodal, customs broker, and ocean carrier/port operations/drayage globally* Knowledge in the application of EDI concepts and specifications* Understanding of milkrun / JIT sequencing concepts* Materials / inventory management knowledge* A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision* Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies* A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting* A genuine fascination for the Transportation field and a commitment to global change* A true sense of determination and hopefully a sense of humor**Perks + Benefits*** Stock options for every employee* Healthcare + dental + vision benefits (Free for you/discounted for family)* 401(k) options* Relocation assistance + reimbursement* Casual dress code + relaxed work environment* Culturally diverse, progressive atmosphere* Soul of Faraday community outreach teamFaraday Future is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status.**Voluntary Self-Identification**For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self-identification survey.
