An investment manager located in New York City is actively seeking an experienced and team-oriented professional to join their staff as their new Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller. In this role, the Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller will participate in .all stages of fund accounting, treasury, and loan operations
Responsibilities
The Senior Fund Accountant / Assistant Controller will:Assist the accounting team in all finance functionsReview fund administrator books and recordsAssist with management company books and recordsSupport investment operations trade and settlement processesIndependently conduct investment monitoring, forecasting, position reconciliation, and internal reportingMaintain shadow accounting internal records and systemsAssist in treasury functionsFacilitate investor reporting requestsQualifications
Bachelor's degree required with strong academic credentials5+ years of relevant experience, which may include work in asset management, loan operations, tax, or public accountingProficiency with computer platforms and applicationsAbility to handle pressure effectively and successfully prioritize and manage multiple initiativesExceptional attention to detailStrong work ethicAbility to work independentlyDesired skills
Big 4 audit experienceCPA or a short-term plan to obtain a CPAKnowledge of credit/direct lending
