Pediatric Anesthesiologist
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology seeks a Pediatric Anesthesiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pediatric Anesthesiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed anesthesiology residency program, as well as pediatric fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in anesthesiology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
With an anticipated opening in 2022, our new 150 bed Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion will house a 30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic.
