Summary / ObjectiveThe Welder/Fitter uses appropriate tools and equipment for MIG, TIG and Arc weldingEssential FunctionsRead blueprints and use necessary measuring devicesDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specificationsOperate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetySupports all quality systems requirementsMinimum Education Requirements1. High School diploma or equivalentMinimum Experience Required1. Proven experience as welder2.
