We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our Sears Home Services team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and driving the accounting functions.Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs monthly and yearly close reporting and ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial dataCreates monthly analytics and variance analysis providing insight into financial performanceOversees account reconciliation process and implements effective controls to maintain accuracy and compliance with company policyImplements and maintains internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.Accounting and financial review of the company’s service contracts lines of businessWorks with Financial Planning and Analysis on development of forecasts, budgets incorporating data-driven projections to guide resource allocations and investment decisionsAssists with annual auditsJob Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in AccountingProven experience as an accounting manager or similar roleUnderstanding of US GAAPExperience with accounting for Home Warranties and other service agreementsDemonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyHighly organizedAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verballyAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teamsProficient in MS OfficeAbility to work with various ERP and reporting packagesPreferred Skills
