Mid-Level Software Application Developer

to join the Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) Product Systems team in

Berkeley, MO;

Everett, WA; or North Charleston, SC .This position supports Second Century Enterprise Systems (2CES) – a large initiative spanning our enterprise that is building the foundational bedrock systems for Boeing’s next 100 years of success.We are looking for a teammate who have a passion for building large scale software systems. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and will like solving challenging and complex problems across a variety of domains. For this role, we are seeking out a high performing individual contributor. This position will focus on supporting the Digital Enterprise transformation inside Boeing. The role can be aligned to one of several different projects or domains including Electrical Engineering (both internally written and commercial-off the shelf) and other areas depending on experience or desire.Position Responsibilities:Lead and develop valuable software solutions utilizing Agile development principles

Collaborate effectively within the operational constructs of a balanced team and Integrated Project Team (IPT) and across perceived functional organization teams.

Work in partnership, virtually with teammates from our Boeing India site

Develop effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards

Participate in design and code review sessions

Work within project teams on iterative development that delivers high quality products

Embrace an Agile mindset of relentless and continuous self-improvement

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.

“U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience with C# and/or Java

3+ years of experience delivering software solutions to a Production environment and writing quality, production ready code

3+ years of experience with full stack development

3+ years of experience working within an Agile development team

3+ years of experience with web services development

3+ years of experience in Git

1+ years of experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliver

Experience with database backend development with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or other technical degree

Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Experience with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)

Experience with configuration of Windows Server (2012 or higher)

Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services)

Experience with unit testing, integration testing and TDD (test driven development)

Experience with development of applications utilizing Windows and Linux/Unix platforms

Experience with SAFe Agile development

Typical Education & Experience:Typically, 5 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
