The Role
As a Procurement Contracts Specialist, you will embed with multiple business units as their primary point-of-contact on the Procurement Team. You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of those teams’ procurements, from intake to contract negotiation and operations. You’ll work to establish durable relationships with these assigned business units to be able to credibly advise on procurement strategy and to ensure that all procurements follow company processes and procedures. You’ll be part of a rapidly-evolving and high-paced function and expected to be nimble, versatile, creative, adaptable, and customer-service oriented.
Core Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for all supplier-related contracts and other artifacts for assigned business units. Embed and establish rapport with business units to be able to effectively advise on procurement strategy through data analysis. Track, measure, report, and evaluate vendor performance in the context of existing contractual obligations. Conduct risk assessments of vendors to drive risk-based negotiation approach. Act as a bridge between cross-functional teams such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Legal, Information Security, Compliance and the various business departments to creatively resolve any blockers and push transactions through to completion. Identify and support improvements to end-to-end purchasing processes, including supplier onboarding, contracting, and purchase order management. Maintain program for ensuring company-wide compliance with procurement policy. Act autonomously in project management, proactively pushing projects towards successful completion. What We Value
Significant experience independently negotiating vendor contracts. Proven ability to analyze and synthesize critical information, through clear and effective communication. Demonstrated business judgement and an ability to thrive in uncertain environments. Ability to identify business process inefficiencies and drive process improvements. Ability to balance commercial needs, assess risks and make decisive, calculated choices for strategic business advantages. What We Require
4+ years of procurement or legal operations experience, preferably in a rapidly growing and/or evolving environment. Experience working with purchasing systems like Coupa or Netsuite. Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel.
