The ESG team at NVIDIA is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative and detail-oriented attorney to join the company’s legal department. This attorney will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and ensuring compliance with global ESG laws and regulations, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the SEC’s climate rules and similar regulations. You will also manage ESG-related aspects of human rights and support the company’s data integrity efforts for ESG data.What You’ll Be Doing
Provide legal expertise in connection with ESG laws and regulations worldwideMonitor, review and advise on legal developments, laws, rules, regulations and disclosure practices related to ESG programs, including the EU’s CSRD and CS3D and the SEC’s anticipated climate rulesPrepare necessary disclosures and drive compliance with ESG laws and regulations, in close partnership with other internal partnersSupport the company’s efforts to build and maintain processes to ensure data integrity for ESG dataManage compliance with human rights regulations and policiesAnalyze and resolve complex legal matters and recommend changes to organizational policies and proceduresCollaborate with senior leadership and sophisticated outside counsel to identify, evaluate and resolve complex legal questions and issuesWhat We Need To See
Current member in good standing of the California barLaw degree from top law school with excellent academic credentials8+ years of law firm and/or in-house experienceExperience advising leaders on ESG/sustainability issuesExperience with EU regulatory compliance, especially disclosure requirementsExperience with U.S. securities laws, compliance and disclosure obligations, including associated data integrity processesStrong knowledge of state laws and disclosure practices related to ESGExcellent legal and business judgment and attention to detailAbility to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environmentTeam-focused and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving practiceWays To Stand Out From The Crowd
