WEX is currently seeking an experienced, self-driven Senior Financial Analyst

based in Portland, ME, or Nashville, TN, or Fargo ND. This role is flexible to be hybrid.

How You'll Make An Impact

Be an integral part of WEX’s monthly, quarterly and annual forecast and budget processes with full responsibility for the preparation & analysis of key areas of the income statement for America’s division.Direct preparation of budgets, reviews and budget proposals, and ensure the plan is consistent with expectations while keeping in mind the company’s strategic objectives with little to no guidance.Prepare budget presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors with key messaging call outs.Ensure that all financial reports are issued timely and accurately with appropriate insight and context provided.Act as a business partner with internal customers by responding to requests for financial information and constructively solving business challenges.Partner with Corporate Accounting to analyze monthly results in order to ensure an accurate and timely close including, but not limited to, Year over Year and Quarterly sequential rate/volume changes.Identifies opportunities for process improvement and drives implementation of initiatives that have a meaningful impact to finance, the LOB, and the Company.Takes initiative and actively provides support to other analysts and/or serves as a subject matter expert in systems or processes.Leads and coordinates special team projects across FP&A and Finance.Coordinate and produce a full monthly financial forecast and analysis report including matrix reporting for presentation to Senior Management.Assist in analysis and preparation of financial information for quarterly earnings communications to the Board of Directors and investment community.Participate as a key thought leader of the global finance team, influencing decision making and identifying finance priorities.Identify areas of financial risk and opportunities to WEX and bring forward solutions to mitigate risk.Maintain an awareness of global economic trends that affect the company such as growth rates, interest rates, exchange rates and fuel prices. Apply and share knowledge within the FP&A Analyst community.Support M&A activity with regards to due diligence and integration of new acquisitions.Collaborate and proactively foster relationships with peers, accounting, treasury, tax, line of business leadership, as well as the VP of Finance.Other ad-hoc projects and analysis as necessary such as:Contribute to project teams from a financial standpoint with regards to investment appraisal analysis.Periodic reports and analyses as required for the management team.Presentations and recommendations of internal issues/alternatives to the management team.Experience you'll bring

Education: Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred.License/Certification: CPA highly preferred.Experience: 5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably at the corporate level of a publicly traded company. Interdisciplinary finance experience (treasury, tax, and accounting) may supplement years of experience requirement.Advanced skills with Microsoft products including excellent Excel and Access skills.Advanced Financial Analysis skills including rate/volume analysis and investment appraisal.Experience with automations tools such as Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau highly preferred.Proactive and able to work independently yet can also work in a team environment.Ability to work and achieve deadlines.Results oriented.Strong organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $92,000.00 - $122,000.00
