Spring Operations Internship

Operations Interns will help execute all phases of game-day operations at The Lumber Yard, assist with training and managing onsite operations staff, weekly preparation for tournament play and day to day operations. Interns will experience what goes on behind the scenes in operating a 4-diamond facility. Interns need to be self-motivated, and communicate effectively with staff. Must have an understanding of baseball rules, and ability to act quickly in high pressure situations. This is a paid position.
Position Responsibilities:
Daily operations and tournament preparationMaintain efficient communication with partnered companiesReport directly to Director and Assistant DirectorMaking sure scores are recorded accurately, and updating tournament schedule accordinglyAssist managers with communication with onsite operations staffWork directly with umpire assignorsAssist with radio communication with operations staffAssist with tournament scheduling and channels of communication for teamsBasic Qualifications:
Experience working in baseball or other sports (scouting, coaching, game operations, playing preferred)Ability to work long hoursMust have an excellent attitude and work well in a team settingFlexible and adaptable work schedule for changing organizational needsAbility to succeed in a fast paced work environmentExperience with Microsoft Excel
Months of Operation:
Late March - through May (flexible start date)
40+ hours a week
