Responsibilities
:
Interface with Quality Assurance and Quality Control Personnel.
Mentor junior and intermediate level Quality Engineers. Train as required.
Calibrate with Design Engineers to Prepare (FMEA) failure mode and effect analysis to identify units posing excessive failure risks.
Participate in customer and in-house design review meetings ensuring design protocol and requirements are met.
Reviews subcontractors' proposals for reliability and data items.
Analyze in-house and field failure data to determine trends. Recommends appropriate corrective action. Maintains a (FRACAS) Failure reporting, analysis & corrective action database.
Coordinate and perform periodic quality internal audits.
Participates in the GIDEP process.
Contributes to the decision about obsolete parts and diminishing sources.
Maintain original documents and upload released documents to database.
Coordinate the Issue, maintenance, and closure of Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and (SCAR's)
Follow up with internal personnel and suppliers regarding open CAR's and SCAR's.
Create trend reports for analysis of all non-conformances.
Generate semi-annual supplier rating report and manage supplier responses.
Revise both QC and QA procedures as required.
Ability to review customer specification and purchase order requirements.
Familiar with military standard, MIL-PRF-19500 and MIL-PRF-38534 (preferred skill)
Working knowledge of ISO9001 and / or AS9100
Mentor QA and Production management in problem solving of production issues to improve overall quality.
Develop quality and production management to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of product data review.
Assist Final QA with product data review and shipment verification.
Ability to read and interpret electrical test data to determine Atypical, Out of Family and non-conforming results.
Perform ECN / Print and SCD Reviews / Contract Reviews.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Ability to use standard analytical tools (i.e. Fishbone Diagram, 5 Why's, Fault Tree, 8D, etc...).
Working knowledge of usage of inspection measuring and test equipment.
Able to use a microscope and mechanical measuring instruments.
Able to read and work with prints, drawings, procedures and criteria set forth to determine product/item acceptability.
General proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel.
10+ years of Quality Assurance engineering experience and relevant military or aerospace product experience.
Ability to establish priorities and multi-task effectively and efficiently.
Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills. A self-starting and self-motivating individual with a positive attitude and influence on the organization. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and Suppliers during customer audits, visits, internal audits and source inspections.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead and facilitate non-conformance issues with MRB team.
