for one of our clients. Our client is a leader in building technology-enabled business process solutions for industrial producers globally. They develop highly integrated software solutions that increase both the effectiveness and efficiency of customer-facing business processes in a wide range of business-to-business applications. Summary:
The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for managing IT infrastructure on-prem and in the cloud (Azure and GCP) along with establishing and administering the overall strategies and procedures for the Information Security function of the company. You will be responsible to satisfy the scaling needs of the platform and the trust needs of clients, customers, and employees. Experience managing IT corporate, and sales offices distributed globally is preferred. The Director of Infrastructure and Security reports to the Chief Digital and Information Officer.
Essential Job Duties:
Manage a team (internal and partner staff) of system engineers, network engineers, security engineers, database engineers, DevOps engineers, site reliability engineers, and other IT operations staff (that includes the helpdesk)Maintain and optimize the company servers and networks (LAN, WAN, and Wireless) globallyDefine and implement IT policies and security policies across the organizationImplement Zero-Trust security principles within the hybrid cloud environment and raise security awareness within the enterpriseDefine and implement identity management solutions for internal and external usersCollaborate with Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) in setting up a security operations center (SOC) for the enterpriseCollaborate with business leaders across the company to ensure our approach to security meets company cultural principles while achieving defined security objectivesBe responsible for device and password management (Protected Access Management)Define and implement best practices around user access controlsClean up access for users and security groups within Active Directory (AD)Protect data assets from unauthorized user access (on-prem and cloud)Protect O365 and D365 environments (Email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)Perform business impact analysis (BIA) and implement a disaster recovery plan to meet organizational resiliency goalsFacilitate audits and certifications needed to promote trust in the platformImplement super-user access tracking and log aggregation for audit and forensicsImplement modern DevOps practices to support platform operations in terms of scalability, availability, security, and resiliencyEngage third-party service providers to perform network penetration and vulnerability testingPerform Information Technology Risk Assessments to identify potential control gapsControl costs and budgets around IT systems (including security)Manage contracts with vendors (e.g., cloud providers, SaaS/PaaS application providers, Software vendors, and telecommunication companies)Responsible for keeping high levels of productivity for employeesQualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience leading IT operations on-premises and in the cloudExperience in developing IT policies and proceduresStrong knowledge of information security best practices, standards, and frameworksStrong understanding of compliance requirementsLeadership and Organizational skillsExcellent communications skillsProblem-solving and analytical skillsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field
