Location: Washington, D.C.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Visual Information Specialist (VIS) will provide graphic design and visual communications planning development and management support within the FBI's Intelligence Branch (IB) as well as the divisions within the Intelligence Branch.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESIndependently produce graphic designs by applying a broad knowledge of design principles to communicate concepts or ideas visually that promotes and enhances IB's branch and strategic priorities.Creatively produce and maintain a variety of IB branded products including publications, banners, brochures, presentations, illustrations, infographics, websites, communication templates and other media products.Collaboratively work with IB stakeholders in generating high-quality geospatial, heat maps, and interactive geo-information products provided to the intelligence community at large.Prepare visually appealing analytically based graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft SharePoint, or similar products.Design, maintain and serve as a consultant in all areas of desktop publishing, graphic art production, and SharePoint design.Research and identify new and creative ways of visually communicating intelligence and FBI information that enhances the presentation of data and analysis in a publication.Assist in improving and maintaining websites, reports, presentations, and other materials.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in design, fine arts, or a related field.Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience producing graphic design and content writing for executive-level audiences.Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Must have experience mapping and geographic imaging.Must have experience receiving a written product and repackaging it into a visual product.Must have experience with SharePoint 2013 and technical management of internal sites, including site creation, web parts, lists, libraries, and calendars, managing user permissions, and modifying other content.Must have experience producing newsletters, presentations, and other communication products involving complex intelligence topics and graphics for all audiences-types within the intelligence community.Must have demonstrated the ability to self-start and take initiative with minimal support or guidance.Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.Must have excellent organizational abilities.Graphics and writing samples required.PREFERRED JOB EXPERIENCE
