Supports; queries and interfaces clinical and financial systems, works with end users to develop processes to make use of system functionality and solve problems.Essential Functions:Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.Provides support and administrative functions on a variety of Quality Improvement (QI) software systemsSupports and assists with daily operations and changes within the QI systemsHelps build, support and administer security on clinical and financial systemsAssists with integration testing for upgradesCreates automated transfers of data filesWorks with Structured Query Languages (SQL) and tools, such as Business Objects to create queries, dashboards and reportsResearches and implements solutions to problems and troubleshoots software issuesWorks collaboratively with Information Technology staff to optimize the systems at Oaklawn HospitalInterviews end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs; creating business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standardsParticipates in special QI projects as requestedMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and two (2) years of informatics and healthcare IT, or a commensurate combination of education and experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of commonly used PC software and hardware, relational databases and their schemas, file transfer protocols and data analysis. The ability to work under pressure and mine for data in relational databases. Must be well-organized, resourceful, with excellent communication skills, and must enjoy the challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and programs. Enthusiasm for the task is a must. Demonstrated ability to handle problems quickly and effectively is essential. High level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to the role. Demonstrated competence with basic Microsoft Office Tools.Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Physical Requirements:

Constantly see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear. Frequently sit. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 49 lbs.
