Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain timely, useful financial charts/reports to support analysis and decision makingParticipate in month-end closing procedures; draft/record journal entries, review account activityPerform Variance AnalysisPrepare month-end account reconciliations, proactively rectifying unreconciled transactionsEvaluate procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities and terminalsPrepare and manage customer price sheet processingAnalyze logistics costs and analyze monthly trendsSales, margin, and expense analysis and reportingGather and consolidate data from key stakeholders globally for weekly metric reportingMaintain KPC Global Strategic Initiatives TrackerParticipate in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processesProvide audit deliverables and communicate with the internal and external audit teamsPerform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-OxleyIdentify improvements, make recommendations and promote new ideasMust promote cross-training within the department and be willing to help coworkers during absences and high-volume eventsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline; CPA or path to becoming a CPA preferred3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferredExperience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processesComputer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction/consolidation experience and prior exposure to an ERP systemInventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferredCarries out routine duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.Must communicate effectively by listening, writing, and speaking clearly and accurately and keeping the team and management informedMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publicationsMust possess the ability to work independently and be a self-starterSome travel required (10 percent or less)Must be able to work non-standard hours during peak periodsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and reasoning skills
