Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist

The Hospital currently has a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician position open. This is a full-time a 12-hour night shift position, including every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
Duties:The MT/MLT collects and receives specimens, performs phlebotomy procedures and performs testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology, Microbiology, Blood Gases, Molecular testing and Toxicology.
Perform laboratory tests and procedures.
Collect and process specimens for analysis.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Analyze test results and report findings to medical staff.
Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained.
Assist with laboratory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Medical Technologist – Bachelor’s degree in CLS or Medical Technology or related science and successful completion of an approved Medical Technology internship program, OR
Medical Laboratory Technician – Associate degree from an accredited School of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinical laboratory internship.
Candidates must be ASCP certified or eligible for certification.
