Senior Financial Analyst.

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Commercial Original Equipment Manufacturing (OE) Finance Manager and is located in East Aurora, NY (full-time on-site).You will support the Commercial OE Division with robust financial analysis, framing insightful standard analytical reporting, and supporting financial business rhythms such as long-term revenue recognition, monthly close and forecast. You must have a strong ability to analyze financial outcomes, to seamlessly translate ambiguous data to actionable insights, and to communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:Typically, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance, with five years’ experience in cost accounting / financial reporting.Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel.Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, meet deadlines, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to various levels of management.Being proactive, creative, and innovative in solving problems and issues is a must.Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter.Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need.Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York (Western New York area).As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will:Collect relevant data to analyze and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, along with commentary resulting from variance analysis from Prior Periods, Plan or BudgetReport on sales and costs detail of major programs and customers in order to help ensure the division is meeting financial goals and highlight any areas which may require special attention to help achieve group goals.Work with various areas across the business to understand detailed revenue and expenses within segmented P&L.Assist with the preparation of the 5-quarter forecast.Build standard analytical reporting tools and dashboardsMaintain updated documentation of segmentation process and assist with streamlining repeatable process for developing a segmented P&L.Analyze and research variances in financial results across periods and determine cause of variances.Assist with monthly close processes as needed.Work on special projects and perform other ad hoc duties.Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, meet deadlines, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to various levels of management.Being proactive, creative, and innovative in solving problems and issues is a must.Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter.Salary Range:The base pay range for this opportunity is $80,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year . The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
