Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Sales manager for our marketing team and manage our products with national accounts. This individual will be managing all activities related to sales and relationship growth with existing and prospect accounts, including marketing strategy development, meeting presentation creation, weekly or monthly sales report analysis, inventory forecasting, and tactical preparation related to vendor calls and tradeshows. The Sales/Marketing Director will work collaboratively with our executive team to further expand our national/regional retail footprint, assists with online presence, and strengthen brand loyalty.

Job Description:

Experience working with big box retailers such as Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, and other regional retail accounts. Familiar with household, kitchen, and home goods category is preferred.

Develop clear sales strategy plans that will maximize the SKU listings across all organic platforms.

Become the expert on assigned accounts. Understand the retailer’s needs, strategies, and objectives. Use this expertise to generate more business within each individual account.

Utilize Category Management and Fact Based Selling concepts in every account.

Manage merchant relationships to effectively complete all administrative forms, promotion programs, resets, or projects necessary.

Work with merchants and executive teams to identify and evaluate new product ideas

Target specific prospect accounts for conversion, execute sales action plans, understand account needs, develop relationships and assist in securing new business.

Create and deliver retailer specific presentations for PLR, Promotions, Mid-Season updates, etc.

Build and closely manage relationships with customers at the buyer level and beyond to create or enhance the partnership

Provide Division VP with regular summaries of current total POS performance across assigned accounts and future sales forecast.

At least 8+ years experience with product marketing and account management required, digital marketing preferred.

Team building and leadership experience required.

Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Strong organizational abilities, including time and resource management.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline required

Product Marketing: 8+ years (Required)

Retail Field Sales: 8+ years (Required)

A minimum of 2-4 years work experience in CPG industry is preferred

Experience working with syndicated data or category management preferred

Required Skills:

Excellent analytical skills; ability to learn and use syndicated data to forecast trends and projections and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activity.

Strong customer focus and relationship building with merchants

Teamwork approach within the organization to accomplishing goals

Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and customer organizations

Intermediate to advance PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentations, outlook)

Approximately 10% travel required

Some nights and weekend work might be required during peak season
