Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving sales revenue, gross margin and volume goals. This role will be in charge of managing the profitability of many of the private label and vending profit centers. This includes providing strategic direction to the retail sales teams, developing pricing strategies for various private label product lines, partnering with R&D to drive product development, actively managing the base business, supporting commercialization teams through launch cycles, identifying and solving various leak points in the P&L.
Travel:
Approximately 10%
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:Develop and communicate strategies for driving profitable growth with the retail sales team.Develop and execute pricing strategies to increase Monogram's profitability.Partner with R&D, our data team, and sales to develop innovation catering to current customer and consumer insights, and bring the concepts from idea to shelf.Active management of Monograms current base business. This entails studying customer level sales numbers, and reviewing all components of P&L leak points - including freight, brokerage, slotting, storage and any other incremental fees. This requires identifying opportunities, creating effective solutions, and executing change with the primary account managers.Develop marketing programs and initiatives to grow base business and attract new business.Support commercialization efforts for new product launches and various product changes through the life cycle.Work closely with sales directors and demand planners to improve forecasting accuracy. This is focused around reviewing sales forecast projections, identifying and challenging projections with the goal of improving accuracy.Support sales directors through various RFP cycles. Act as cross functional support to get RFP from start to finish.Identify and manage annual price increase cycle where needed. Actively track contract cycles with customers and prepare updated pricing to cover inflation driven cost increases yearly.Full control of private label and branded categories within the Protein Snacks and Portables arena. This includes optimizing product lineup, line extension creation, SKU rationalization, pricing strategy execution, trade program development, slotting budget creation, and overall increasing the profitability of the brands.Work cross functionally with operations, procurement, and logistics to identify and drive cost savings on branded and private label product lines.Directly and frequently interact with all sales functions, VP/GM of Protein Snacks and Portables, Directors of Commercialization, Customer Service and Accounts Receivable.Key Performance Measures:

Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. MBA preferred.6 or more years of related experience in the food industryStrong presentation skills to all levels of management both internal and externalExperience utilizing syndicated dataMicrosoft Office Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Ability to travel domestically, overnight travel includedStrong communication skillsBusiness planningPeople skillsProblem solvingExecuting changeMust be 18 years or older
