Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for winning new business opportunities for Casix and developing customer relationships for long term partnerships for both Casix and Fabrinet. This includes finding and identifying new customers
Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager:
Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Plan and implement business development initiatives based on company's development strategy and market surveys. Achieve sales targets with respect to revenue growth and sales efficiency (increase existing and new business)Locates or proposes potential business by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities, while also managing existing customer relationshipsWorks closely with Operations team to create customer development strategies, align company capabilities to market requirements and recommend resource investmentsOrganize various marketing activities and participate in industry conferences and exhibitions.Frequent business travel to visit existing and potential clients in the region. Up to 50% travel and customer visits required.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Other duties and responsibilities as assignedJob Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above, major in Optics/Physics/Electrical/Telecom or engineering is preferred.4+ years of sales experience in related industries (telecommunications/Optics)Familiar with optical industry, full understanding of optoelectronic products (such as crystal, precision optical components, optical communication devices, at least some of them) in various fields. Be able to provide a solution and ensure a positive customer experience.Must be comfortable with lead generation, prospecting and calling into Engineering, Purchasing and Executive levels at prospective accounts.Strong history with building relationships at all levels of OEM customers, with an ability to identify new areas of opportunity.Track Record of Achieving Revenue and New Business goals.Strong Communication skills (in English).Well versed in all MS/Office Applications, especially Powerpoint, ExcelHave a strong work ethic, team spirit and customer orientation.
