Director of Development
- Full- time, Hybrid position: 3 days in East Hampton office and two days working remotely.
The Development Director supports the mission, goals and objectives of the Retreat by developing and implementing short and long-term fundraising goals as part of a comprehensive revenue model. The Development Director is responsible for identifying prospects, establishing effective fundraising techniques and marketing the organization. The position supports the Executive Director and is an integral member of the leadership team.
Donor Development : Working together with the Executive Director, establish and implement a donor development plan for the organization. Plan will address annual giving, corporate sponsorships, major gifts, direct mail, special events, third party events, on-line fundraising and planned giving programs.Events : Plan, administer and implement (in collaboration with the Development team members) all fundraising events associated with the agency.Community
Relations : Working closely with the Executive Director and management staff to create and disseminate compelling publicity about the Retreat using a wide variety of media.Finance Support : The Development Director will work together with the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer in developing budgets that ensure sufficient accounting and recognition of agency financial goals.Other relevant duties as assignedQualifications:
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree a plus5-plus years experience in Development - a proven record of strategy and success!CFRE certification preferredDemonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skillsKnowledge of Fund E-Z or comparable donor management software preferred.Knowledge of Wordpress and Constant Contact preferred.
