Role : DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPER/DEVELOPEMENTLocation : Dallas, TX
We are looking for a seasoned technology leader with a platform mindset and experience with deep empathy for 3P developer and partner needs. In this role, you will influence various infrastructure and domain capability teams to build APIs/tools for 3P developer needs while also being accountable for core 3P platform capabilities including 3P developer experience, tools, App store, and integrated capabilities to offer seamless 1P+3P experiences to the customers. You will also lead a Strategic Partner Integrations team to provide solutions for our small business customers that complement our QuickBooks, Payroll and Payment products.
10+ years of experience in the software product industry in senior architecture and software development rolesDemonstrated ability to deliver high quality SaaS and PaaS products/platforms that serve millions of customersAttracts, develops & retains top talentOutstanding business outcomes with effective and fast decision making that takes into account the interests of all four key stakeholders - employees, customers, shareholders, and partnersExperience in making successful trade-offs that balance the short and long term product goalsExperience driving engineering design using Agile process to drive innovation, accelerate decisions and outcomes while minimizing riskProven ability to lead and influence large distributed product development effortsPartner with senior engineering leaders and business leaders to influence organizational decisions and in building strong engineering teamsProficiency in one or more key technologies including React, Java, Javascript, NoSQLProficient in front-end and back-end architecture & designUnderstanding of industry-leading technology/solutions in APIs, SDKs, and developer platforms and tools. In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologiesExperience using data insights for product refinementExperience transitioning a monolith to a Cloud-based, service-oriented architectureAbility to work well through ambiguity, confidence in making tough calls and leading through adversity with a sharp focus on the eventual right outcomesComputer Science or related bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferredWill lead the technical strategy and drive teams in delivering and growing successful 3P platform solutions and toolsAbility to be scrappy, experiment and learn while driving target state technical architecture for durable platform capabilities to serve millions of customers.The role requires influencing teams across by championing for 3P customers and ecosystem impact and supporting the teams through the platform and ecosystem transformation.Partner closely with multi-disciplinary teams across Product Management, Design, Partnerships, Marketing, and Customer Support to deliver customer outcomesDrive and deliver an open platform that fosters open contribution within the company and with the external developer and financial industryDrive company wide initiatives like platform and data architecture, process, rubrics for technology career tracks, hiring/coaching senior individual contributorsActively raise the operational excellence standards of the services and products to be secure, available, scalable, resilient, and performant. Inspire teams innovation and deliver quality at speed across product offerings and platform servicesSuccessfully deliver results through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, efficient decision making, and individual/team accountabilityHire top talent, and actively counsel and coach the team and build a high performance organization. Actively engage in wide talent development.Actively engage in external developer and partner communities, tech communities on cutting edge technology innovation to accelerate 3P ecosystem and lead the teams to accelerate innovation and customer outcomes.
