JOB DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

We are seeking a short-term consultant to help migrate our data to the new CRM. As a data migration specialist, your primary function is to oversee the seamless transfer of data from one system to another while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security. This involves analyzing existing data structures, developing migration strategies, mapping data fields, executing migration processes, and conducting post-migration validation and testing

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Data Assessment

• In collaboration with data owners, identify existing Customer, Contact, and Opportunities data in Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and analyze its value/relevance for importing into the CRM.

Data Mapping

• Create a data mapping plan to transfer data from documents and spreadsheets to the CRM platform.

• Confirm data mapping aligns with the CRM system's structure and requirements.

Migration Execution:

• Execute the data migration process in collaboration with the IT team.

• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the migration process.

• Work closely with stakeholders to validate and verify migrated data.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing of the migrated data to guarantee accuracy and completeness.

• Address any data quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures.

Documentation:

• Create detailed documentation of the data migration process, including steps taken, challenges faced, and solutions implemented.

• Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing the CRM system effectively.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirement(s):

• Proven experience in data migration, preferably within a CRM context.

• Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and CRM platforms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate and exchange information as well as use a computer.
