The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and other project team members to manage and execute a variety of projects. This individual will be responsible for planning, design, coordination, and execution of projects as well as project and client management.
Responsibilities
Provide professional services for civil engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply and distribution systems, and water treatment plants Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work Assist Project Manager in maintaining budgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members Gather critical data to assist clients with project financing and funding development Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months. Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgement and aptitude among peers, management, and staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in civil engineering or related field Proficient with Civil 3D Design work and knowledge with water supply, treatment, and distribution systems Ability to lead both internal initiatives and external projects Physical
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
