JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/ObjectiveBlueHalo is seeking a Contracts Manager to become a part of a dynamic corporate team. The Contracts Manager will provide support in every aspect of the contract lifecycle and use creative thinking skills to drive solutions for the Space and Directed Energy Sector. This position will be embedded in a mission focused operations group and responsible for activities associated with proposal development/submittal and contract management/administration on multiple assigned contracts.Essential FunctionsThe Contracts Manager responsibilities include:Perform contract management and administrative duties including, but not limited to maintaining and organizing contract documents; supporting proposal review and preparation; completing contract awards and modifications; interfacing with Government and Prime contracting agentsEvaluate contract performance to determine the necessity for modifications or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.Advise and mentor other Contracts Professionals and Program ManagersMaintain consistent and organized files for programsProviding guidance and advise on contractual rights and obligations, with means to mitigate contractual and/or program riskProactively engaging with the program teams and customers to ensure that the programs are executing to contract requirements.Advise on the different contract types and applicable laws and regulations associated with each type.Identifies, tracks, mitigates risk issues to inform Contracts leadershipReview monthly deliverables for accuracy and completeness.Identifies, tracks, mitigates and resolves risk issuesContribute to the responses for Requests of Information, Quotes, Proposals, Source Sought, and Market SurveysDevelop and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), and SubcontractsSupport contract execution through Contract Modifications, Program Control, Invoice Reviews, and CloseoutsResponsible for the entire contract lifecycleResponsible for ensuring that agreements/terms and conditions comply with all applicable regulations and requirements, while also adhering to company policies.Actively work with proposal teams to develop a compliant proposal and provide the necessary back-up to support pricing adequacy.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including regular senior management level briefings on key issues.CompetenciesNegotiation skills.Ethical Conduct.Strong Attention to detail.Strategic Thinking.Critical Thinking.Problem Solver.Organizational Skills.Self-Starter.Strong Communication Skills.Time Management.Commitment.Demonstrated Team Player.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
