Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Serves as the manager for the responsibilities of developing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining day-to-day operations of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS / CPACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Cardiology Information Systems (CVIS), and related ancillary systems. Provides oversight of the strategic direction and infrastructure critical to the system PACS components, system administration and workflow. Direct supervision of Information Technology PACS resources. The primary liaison between the management of Radiology, the Radiologist group, customer users, and vendors. Co-chair the organization's Imaging Steering Committee meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSURE/EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of Five (5) years of management in healthcare IS related work experience. Seven to ten (7-10) or more years of experience with management of medium to large scale PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) in the capacity of Senior PACS administrator. Change Healthcare PACS course(s) completion certification within twelve (12) months of hire date. Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification or Certified PACS System Analyst (CPSA) within twenty-four (24) months of hire date.
