This position reports to the Director of Product Design and your key responsibilities include:
This role will be a "maker" who works with existing team members to get us off the ground. You'll craft quality, straightforward solutions that are inclusive, scalable, and useful to a broad set of teams. You'll work with developers to streamline the process that moves static design deliverables into code.Employ your great strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the wider team.Build influence across the organization to shape the future of our shared design language and make sure our products express our brand.Strong design aesthetic that brings together brand expressions and systems thinking. You practice universal design and believe in inclusion.Create an inventory of common patterns and components; identify opportunities to simplify experiences, such as through merging similar elements.Flesh out comprehensive documentation of system principles and guidelines and build Figma libraries for system resources.Train designers and partners on the design system.Experience facilitating Design Thinkingin your cross-functional teams.Comfort with ambiguity and ability to motive teams and partners.Find joy in leading by doing. You inspire, coach, and contribute to our team culture.A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve things.What we are searching for
Qualifications :
Education/Experience:10+ years relevant professional experience required, BS/BA degree required, Graduate studies preferred
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and levels of seniority
Design Specific Skills:
7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: design system, user experience, information architecture, or visual design.Experience developing and growing an enterprise design system.A strong strategic mindset and a system thinking approach.Proven history of working within a user-centered design process.Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills.Advance in design and prototyping tools (eg. Figma)Skills such as illustration, photography, animation, data visualization, front-end programming are a plus!Behavioral Competencies that client is looking for this role:
