Job DescriptionOur client is a 5th Generation family-run meat purveyor based in West Palm Beach, FL, founded in 1925. Specializing in high-end protein offerings, our client serves Florida's upscale Hotel, Restaurant, and Country Club market, processing and distributing Beef, Veal, Lamb, Pork, Poultry, and Provisions throughout South and Central Florida, as well as into the Caribbean.

Position Summary:
The Controller role oversees all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and process improvements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month/year end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition.Ensure compliance with GAAP, including proper revenue recognition according to ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.Prepare and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations, providing explanations for variances.Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts.Lead annual audit processes and implement internal control enhancements.Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.Minimum 8 years of corporate accounting experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.Preference for experience in Consumer Goods/Distribution/Manufacturing industries and familiarity with private equity environments.Strong understanding of GAAP, proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP accounting software.
