The Conflicts Resolution Group (CRG) is a control function whose mission is to evaluate advisory, financing, principal investing, lending and certain other activities to identify actual or perceived conflicts of interest and assess the potential reputational risks resulting from the potential intersection among new and existing roles, positions, and responsibilities that the firm may have. CRG determines from a conflicts of interest perspective whether the revenue businesses may continue to pursue a transaction (subject to further review by CRG and other control functions and committees) and may impose limitations or conditions which are monitored by CRG. The revenue businesses are responsible for elevating to CRG potential client sensitivities or other issues that may arise from the firm accepting a new role or responsibility and are responsible for making commercial business selection decisions. CRG does not make commercial business selection decisions. In addition, CRG, like other control functions, shares responsibility for identifying other reputational issues.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSResponsibilities:Review and initiate new checks, including coordinating with businesses to ensure accuracy and completeness of informationConduct due diligence of business opportunities by considering the firms current and historical assignments, positions and economic exposures, and other touch points with relevant transaction partiesIdentify potential issues and report findings to the CRGMonitor and update the status of previously cleared opportunities using information from public sources, deal teams, and internal reporting toolsDocument the elements of review for each conflict check in the CRGs propriety databaseQualifications:4 - 7 years of work experience, preferably in the financial or legal sectorsHigh attention to detailStrong organizational skillsAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgencyAbility to process and analyze high volumes of informationCommercial savviness with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive informationStrong communication skills and ability to interact directly with a wide group of professionals at different levels of seniority across the firmAbility to work in close coordination with others as part of a global teamProactive and self-motivated mindset
