The Department of Neurology at West Virginia University School of Medicine

are seeking an
Epilepsy Division Chief
qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
The position involves clinical care, research, and teaching medical students and neurology residents. You'll join a renowned team of physicians and researchers making an extraordinary difference in the lives of our patients. Ours is a collaborative atmosphere that allows practicing advanced medicine in a highly satisfying environment. We do so by recruiting some of the finest physicians from across the country - men and women who are often recognized leaders in their specialty or subspecialty; investing heavily in new technology; practicing - and frequently developing - the latest techniques and placing the highest emphasis on achieving great quality outcomes. Candidates will join an active team including neurologists, neuropathologists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists for collaboration in the areas of patient care, research and education.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of neurology and epilepsy. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed Neurology residency program and epilepsy fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in neurology and epileptology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
The
WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute
guides a team of 280 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions ranging from Alzheimer's to Parkinson's; autism to stroke; and paralysis to chronic pain, addictions, and traumatic brain injury.
The
Department of Neurology
offers patients a full spectrum of innovative therapies for neurologic disease, including stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, headache, immunology, and movement disorders. WVU is a Joint Commission approved Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center.
The
West Virginia University Health System
