Key Job Responsibilities

Design world-class Intrinsic safe electronic sensors and control hardware for use in hazardous underground mining environmentEngage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to formulate and design innovative productsTechnical ownership for the hardware design projectsLead architecture, design reviews with internal teams and suppliersLead various aspects of electronic product readiness including manufacturabilityPerform testing and validation of hardware prior to their releaseUp to 10% of travel is possibleQualifications/Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer engineering or relevant15 years' experience in Electronics hardware design in as many areas below:

Intrinsic Safety IEC60079-11 electronic hardware developmentIECEx/ATEX, MSHA certificationsFPGA designDesign of Low power microprocessor-based controllersHigh speed communication systems and Ethernet-based networksProgrammable logic designDigital circuit designLow power analogue circuit designOptical/Imaging components and systemsRF components and systems

Qualifications/Requirements Continued

Experience successfully leading the development of complex CPU, FPGA and ASIC based PCBA designsExtensive experience with Schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit analysis applications such as primarily Altium, and knowledge of OrCAD, SPICE, eCADSTAR, etc.Strong experience in using electronic test equipment such as Logic, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, Digital Oscilloscope, Multimeter etc.Experience in the design of autonomous sensors such as lidars, radars, cameras is a plusDetail oriented, consistent, motivated self-starterAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline focused work environmentFamiliarity with safety critical system design and industry standards is a plusKnowledge of common machine control sensors, actuators, and other typical control devices
