Job Summary:
Lynk is looking for a Satellite Flight Operations Engineer to join the Mission Operations team filling a hands on satellite command and control responsibility
The Flight Operations Engineer plays a key role in developing and implementing key processes and procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of the satellite constellation. This is a unique role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the design and operation of command and control mission software, evaluate satellite in-orbit performance, and participate in satellite in-orbit commissioning.
This position will require shift work and someone willing to take on a high degree of responsibility and comfortable with being an independent thinker while applying training and procedure.

Core Responsibilities:
Satellite Command and Control Operations: Using command and control software tools, monitor satellite operations, perform manual commanding, review satellite telemetry, respond to anomalies, and communicate status.
Processes and Procedures: Inform the development and follow key processes and procedures to optimize satellite operation efficiency and ensure safety standards are met.
Tool Development and Enhancement: Contribute to the design, improvement, and maintenance of command and control mission software tools and dashboards, actively participating in requirement generation and development activities.
Satellite System Analysis: Evaluate satellite health and performance, identifying issues and areas for improvement. Identify performance trends, troubleshoot anomalies, and propose optimization strategies.
In-orbit commissioning: Implement satellite in-orbit commissioning plans, including initial contact, performance testing, and early operations.
During your first 12 Months:
Flight Operations Controller Proficiency: Gain Flight Operations Controller certification by demonstrating competence in managing satellite operations using all relevant satellite and ground command procedures, standard operating procedures, and command and control tools.
Process Optimization: Directly contribute to the development and implementation of processes and procedures, resulting in improved response time to internal customers for satellite services.
Software and Tool Contributions: Provide user feedback to software developers to improve the scalability of tools and automation. Directly contribute to the development and test of new and improved tools released to Operations. Develop and manage telemetry dashboards providing improved situational awareness and investigation tools.
Shift Leadership: Through proficiency of tools, smart application of processes, and demonstrated deliberate action, independently lead Mission Operation Center shifts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a degree that you can demonstrate is relevant to this job profile.
Passion for space exploration and satellite technology, with a keen interest in contributing to using space to improve life on Earth.
Demonstrated mentality of continuous learning and skill development.
Demonstrated independent thinking and initiative in problem solving scenarios, contributing to the resolution of complex technical problems.
