Summary

The Manager, Tacoma Port will directly supervise the facing port processing operations for GLOVIS America at inbound harbor or rail sites ensuring adherence to GLOVIS' sales objectives, KPIs, and quality standards. This position will direct and manage all operations with overall responsibilities for safety, quality, inventory control, and production. This person will identify, analyze, and resolve problems or issues with customers, clients, and employees.

ResponsibilitiesPort Processing Operations

Meet customer's daily tender targetsOperations to tender vehicles to support customers wholesale goals, per the monthly Operations PlanEnsure vendor is properly managing vehicle aging in accordance of customer requirementsEnsure vendor meets and exceed customer QC audit objectivesManage all aspects of vehicle processing and shipmentEnsure processor contract complianceProvide operational direction to meet monthly/annual objectivesDaily on-site supervision of port processor and carrier functions to ensure proper handling, release and timely shipment of vehiclesOversee Vehicle Carrier (Rail/Truck) Performance and Compliance with GLOVIS policy and proceduresMonitor Quality Audit Points during all phases of vehicle processingMonitor Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) and conduct periodic auditsConduct Monthly/Quarterly Audits to ensure processor compliance with GLOVIS' policies and proceduresOversee Port Service Campaigns from launch to completion ensuring the proper services have been completed and reported

Damage & Inventory Management

Reduce internal PIO damages and missing inventoryMonitor Port Installed Option (PIO) Part Inventories to ensure adequate on hand balances are available to meet production requirementsEnsure part shortages are reported in a timely manner and inventory variances are resolved expeditiouslyCoordinate and oversee PIO Part Installation training to ensure training is comprehensive and productiveManage fleet on-time delivery as required by customer

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
