**Sr. ISD-Training Support Specialist****Department:** Training Dev **Location:** Virginia Beach, VA**Cape Henry Associates**Cape Henry Associates is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business that specializes in providing manpower, personnel, training, and education solutions to our Department of Defense customers.**Objective:**Our Senior Training Support Specialist will be responsible for analysis and report development to support training and manpower requirements documents and provide support for large, diverse, and complex adult education and vocational training systems.**Job Description:*** Conduct analysis and read/understand DOD Instructions;* Apply processes that involve planning, fact-finding, analyzing, and evaluating data, reaching conclusions, preparing recommendations, gaining acceptance, and adjudicating changes;* Implement planning, fact-finding, data analysis, and evaluation, while incorporating expert input and customers to tailor individual products;* Effectively interface with team members and working groups, as well as consistent and clear collaboration with offices associated with an assigned project;* Implement effective communication skills to prepare and brief comprehensive written reports, including recommendations, supporting analysis, and potential impacts;* Clearly communicate ideas through writing composition. Should be able to recognize various writing styles utilized throughout government writing and the occasions of which to use them;* Understand training delivery systems within DoD and processes required to garner approval of the engineering and manufacturing development, or production and deployment of a major defense acquisition program;* Utilize various leadership and teamwork techniques to effectively lead a team of junior training support specialists;* Perform additional duties as assigned.**Employment Status:*** Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Exempt. **This position is contingent on contract award.****Qualifications:*** Bachelors Degree (preferred);* Familiarity with DoN training systems and processes is recommended to prepare training recommendations for consideration into a life-long Navy learning career, including:+ basic knowledge of existing NAVSEA and DoN training and instruction+ databases, programs, and systems* Ability to achieve a Secret level security clearance;* Four or more years of U.S. Navy active-duty experience;* Ability to work independently;* Strong written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise technical style reports in approved formats;* Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including MS Visio, Word, and Excel;* Knowledge of Navy training systems and training analysis processes;* Knowledge of or specialty in specific U.S. Naval ratings (to including navigation, sonar, aviation deck systems, etc.) is highly preferred, but not required;* U.S. citizenship required.Cape Henry Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
